SoftTx Software Transmitter

The voLANte SoftTx software product works with voLANte video-over-IP distribution equipment and emulates the functionality of a hardware transmitter/encoder but at reduced frame-rate. Whereas voLANte hardware transmitters output HD video at 60-Hz, SoftTx is processor-dependent and typically outputs video at 1-Hz update rates. This rate is sufficient for PowerPoint slides, flight information, advertisements, or anything that changes at rates of once per second or less. The software application runs entirely on the host computer and outputs video through the host network interface at any supported voLANte resolution up to 1080p for HDTV or 1600x1200 for computer graphics. The video source can be the active or extended desktop, or a designated image file on disk. Any SVSi controller (such as Conductor Server or Conductor DiVAS) or third-party controller will discover the SoftTx and route it to the desired displays just as it would a hardware transmitter.
