Transmitters/Encoders

The voLANte VMT105 stand-alone AV transmitter/encoder acts as a DVI to Ethernet converter and includes Gigabit Ethernet switch functionality. No software is needed. Simply connect a DVI or HDMI source into the unit and connect Cat-5 cable to one or more voLANte Remote Receivers to begin playing digital content at multiple locations.

Two versions are available:

VMT105-D: DVI-D connector accepts digital video source (DVI or HDMI) only. Audio may be embedded on DVI connection or connected separately.

The voLANte VRT107U rack-mount transmitter is a high-density configuration of six video encoders for transmitting up to six HD video streams over an IP network. Each video stream is independently addressable with variable bit-rate control. All six video encoders in the VRT107U operate independently and have individual connections to the network.

The voLANte VRT107C rack-mount transmitter is a high-density video encoder that transmits up to six HD video streams over an IP network. Each video stream is independently addressable with variable bit-rate control. All six video encoders are internally connected providing transmission of six separate video streams through one network cable. The VRT107C was designed for video head-ends with multiple video sources transmitted through a centralized video distribution system.

The voLANte SoftTx software product works with voLANte video-over-IP distribution equipment and emulates the functionality of a hardware transmitter/encoder but at reduced frame-rate. Whereas voLANte hardware transmitters output HD video at 60-Hz, SoftTx is processor-dependent and typically outputs video at 1-Hz update rates. This rate is sufficient for PowerPoint slides, flight information, advertisements, or anything that changes at rates of once per second or less.

The voLANte VTT114 Transcoder accepts a voLANte JPEG2000 input video stream and converts to H.264 for applications such as internet streaming or video-to-the-desktop. Output resolutions from 480p/i to 1080i are supported and the H.264 bitrate can be adjusted between 500-kbps and 6-Mbps. The VTT114 offers low-latency codec conversion that integrates seamlessly with voLANte’s existing easy-to-use control options.
