SVSi’s voLANte video-over-IP solution has found great success in small to large installations across a wide variety of markets. From a few screens in the neighborhood pub to a couple hundred in the world’s #1 sports bar; from small town K-12 schools to large universities; small churches to mega-churches; large government facilities; huge sports and entertainment venues; and in many Fortune 500 corporate offices, voLANte is the preferred solution for HD video switching and distribution. Below are a few examples of voLANte installations in different vertical markets.
House of Worship MarketCompassion International World Headquarters, Colorado Springs, CO The challenge: Create a video distribution network for digital signage, live events and educational sessions. The solution: Including voLANte's unique DVR in the installation allows the facility to record live events for later playback on campus and also produce DVDs for distribution to Compassion's 26 worldwide locations. The easy expandability of the voLANte system allows additional displays to be installed anywhere they are needed. |
Government Facilities MarketFAA Regional Crisis Center, Kansas City, KS The challenge: Implement a versatile AV distribution network in a flexible space that can be used for larger events or press conferencesand has the ability to be partitioned into two or three smaller spaces. The solution: Each zone of the space includes a podium with a voLANte six-input transmitter connected to various sources and receivers connected to a projector and a local confidence monitor. A single CAT5e cable connects each podium to the head-end, where several six-input transmitters and receivers are connected to a network switch. The head-end provides additional inputs including the output of a windowing processor to be routed to any or all of the zones. |
Education MarketPepperdine University, Malibu, CA The challenge: Create a flexible solution to manage live event overflow needs on their campus. The solution: A voLANte transmitter was connected to program output of their production switcher, sending the feed over the network to receivers located in various overflow auditoriums. After a successful deployment for this application, additional voLANte devices were installed or digital signage and video distribution applications. |
Corporate Communications MarketAnheuser-Busch, St Louis, MO The challenge: Create a video distribution system from multiple video sources located at a head-end to displays located on each building floor over the facility's existing managed data network. The solution: Connecting voLANte's 6-channel rackmount transmitter to ports on one of the existing network's IGMP-enabled managed switches prevents the video traffic impacting the data network while permitting voLANte receivers to be installed and connected at any network Fortune 500 Corporation, Camden, NJ The challenge: Create a video distribution system for a six building campus with a capacity of 100 HD channels. The ability to have video inputs and outputs in each building and both global and local matrix switching capability was also a requirement. The solution: Using over-the-shelf network switches with 10GB fiber interconnects allows voLANte transmitters and receivers to be installed in each building with browser-access matrix switching managed by the Conductor DiVAS system. Sports and Entertainment MarketAlamodome, San Antonio, TX The challenge: Implement a 30x80 AV matrix spanning the entire 65,000 seat arena with the flexibility to expand the configuration at any time. The solution: The voLANte solution was implemented with 5 six-input transmitters and 80 receivers connected to two managed network switches located in opposite corners of the arena. The voLANte devices are connected via CAT5e cable to the switches and a single 10-gigabit fiber uplink connects the two switches. Real Sports Bar & Grill, Toronto, ON The challenge: Implement a 58x194 AV matrix in the #1 sports bar in North America, as voted by ESPN, with displays ranging from 30" LCD's to large format projectors throwing a 39-foot image. The solution: The voLANte solution was implemented with 10 six-input transmitters and 200 receivers connected to three managed network switches with the entire system occupying 13 rack unit spaces at the head-end. A single CAT5e cable runs from the switch to each bank of displays, where the receivers are daisy-chained while retaining full matrix switching capabilities. |
