voLANte, an acronym for “Video Over LAN Technology,” offers “last mile” digital content distribution and management over a local area network. The SVSi voLANte offers simple integration and delivers synchronized digital video and audio to an unlimited number of HD displays over unlimited distances. Multiple streams of high-resolution, high-definition digital content can be transmitted point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, or daisy-chained for professional audio/visual applications. Video and audio is managed through the voLANte video LAN’s transmitters and receivers (that also function as network switches).
The SVSi voLANte digital video LAN offers ease-of-installation, ease-of-use, and flexibility which sets it apart from other digital signage solutions.
Any common IT task can be accomplished over the voLANte digital video LAN including network storage, streaming live video for security or training, remote updates or backups, integration of file or print servers, encryption, or WAN access.
The voLANte digital video LAN integrates with other LANs or WANs through common network appliances such as routers, switches, extenders or hubs.
As with any LAN, network bandwidth is not unlimited and has to be managed. For the voLANte digital video LAN , video is prioritized and bandwidth allocated as available. Because voLANte is based on the gigabit Ethernet protocol, many more simultaneous network tasks are possible than for most other LANs.
The voLANte digital video LAN is the only content distribution system that allows multiple video streams down one Cat-5e/6 cable. This is enabled by each transmitter and receiver also acting as a network switch. The voLANte transmitter and receiver’s bi-directional serial ports allow command and query of each remote display for shutdown, power-on and lifetime statistics.
The minimum system requirements are a VTC103 PC Transmitter Card installed in a host computer and a VRR104 AV Receiver located at the display monitor. No software is needed.
Yes. Any digital display that supports resolutions from 640x480 to 1600x1200 can be used with the voLANte digital video LAN, including 3.5" TFT LCD displays or 150" plasma TVs.
The voLANte VTC103 transmitter accepts DVI or HDMI inputs from any device.
The voLANte transmitter card is a true Ethernet device and can deliver 100% digital HD content to an unlimited number of displays. In addition, media is preserved in digital format, so quality doesn’t suffer by connecting multiple displays.
The voLANte digital video LAN supports HD formats up to 1080p and computer graphic formats up to 1600x1200 @ 60Hz.
Since voLANte transmits content using the Ethernet protocol, the maximum distance between the voLANte transmitter and a voLANte receiver or switching device is 300-feet; however, common network appliances like switches can be used to extend monitors. This means you can connect an inexpensive gigabit Ethernet network switch to the LAN to extend the signal another 300-feet. By daisy-chaining multiple switches, an unlimited distance can be achieved between the transmitter and the last receiver.
For keylock dongle issues the first step is to remove the dongle from the computer and then run:
KeyLokUSB_Installer.exe
Check the Uninstall check box near the bottom of the box and then click Begin Install. Click yes on the All Devices will be uninstalled pop-up. When it is done click the close on the final pop-up.
Now run KeyLokUSB_Installer.exe again and check USB Dongle under Dongle Type and ensure Standalone is also checked. Click Begin Install. Accept all of the pop-ups to allow installation. The final pop-up should say it was successful. Now insert the dongle into the computer and let windows get it installed. Check the Device Manager (under Control Panel->Hardware and Sound at the end of the Devices and Printers is a link to device manager) shows a USBKey entry.
Now Conductor Pro should find the dongle and work.
Note: KeyLokUSB_Installer.exe is located in the install directory which should be:
voLANteViewer:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SVSI\voLANte Viewer" on Windows 7 and “C:\Program Files\SVSI\voLANte” Viewer in XP.
ConductorPro:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SVSI\Conductor Pro" on Windows 7 and “C:\Program Files\SVSI\Conductor Pro” in XP.
